The problem with your project is that it’s missing some complexity… I mean, this is something that everyone can do in like 2 hours. There is no reason for the buyer to buy this since it’s very simple. Try to make it more complex – more variations, better fade-in and fade-out. I know that you were trying to make it clean and simple, but this is not the right way…
Don’t worry Nirakli, the sales will come. But don’t expect hundreds of them. Your project is good, but will not attract many buyers since it’s very specific. Don’t loose your faith in VideoHive and continue working. If I can advise something – try to make something that will attract a wider spectrum of buyers – wedding project, promo project, logo reveal… Then the sales will come
Look at my portfolio – the first project that I’ve made also didn’t get much attention so I know how you feel now, but then I’ve realized where to go and what to sell
I wish you luck here on VH. Don’t loose your motivation – the first project is done very well and you definitely have some design talent. Keep it up, stop checking the sales and just try something different!
I just started a new thread about the official app. Feel free to comment…http://videohive.net/forums/thread/we-need-official-envato-app-for-ios-devices/115801
So, as authors, we’re in a really bad position when speaking about iOS apps for Envato Marketplaces. Right now, almost all of them don’t work or are completely useless. Leaflet is no longer available and the push notifications don’t work for a long time now, iNvatoo pro doesn’t show actual earnings since Google start charging for currency conversion, GreenPaw doesn’t load data and is useless, push notifications for Tabvn are dead and that’s the only feature worth speaking about. So right now, my iPhone and iPad are full of crappy apps and the developers don’t respond. I have to say, they don’t really care about their clients… sorry guys, but that’s the sad truth.
So isn’t this a time for Envato to develop an official app that will REALLY work? For such a giant, this shouldn’t be a big problem and authors really need a reliable solution. I don’t mind spending $10 or more if the app would really work (forever, not for 2 months). What I’m asking for is:
1) Push notifications – this is a number one feature – nothing is better than instant sale notification (I recommend using this file for the notification sound: http://audiojungle.net/item/cash-register-/3310512)
2) A list of last sales (20-50)
3) Currency conversion – it’s great to see my actual earnings in my local currency.
I don’t really care about some in-depth statistics and stuff since there are some cool desktop applications that can handle that…what we really need is a reliable and functional app with immediate push notifications.
Authors, what do you think? And you Envato?...what do you think?
Nothing works right now, I got all the iOS apps available and all of them sucks!
Hey Envato, stop searching for your front-end dev – Tim is your man! Very cool idea, Tim!
Good to know, thanks Tomi Finally an 3DOcean author thinking about VH authors. Thumbs up for your work! Keep it up! -Jakub
It is so sad, this was my favorite app…I didn’t really use it (didn’t like the GUI), but loved the sound and immediate notifications about sales. It was actually the only reason why I bought it. Now it’s dead like any other app that I was using. iNvatoo Pro that I loved for currency conversion and design is dead, Leaflet is dead, Tabvn is dead…this sucks terribly – why I have this feeling that you app developers really don’t care much about your clients?! Please, Tabvn, can you inform us? Will the push notifications work again? Are you gonna fix that cheap sound? I would suggest just buying extended license ($5!!!) for this sound which is actually very cool: http://audiojungle.net/item/cash-register-/3310512 ...I’m sorry, I don’t want to be rude or something, but it is a little bit irritating. Thanks for understanding and don’t take it personally please
Guys, thanks so much for your feedback and kind words! I’m very happy today because the template has been just approved for sale on VideoHive!
So it was just 4 days for me, but now my item is temporarily held by the review team. I’m nervous about that
