@indiapart – I completely understand your comment, but I in know way meant it to say that it was a copy, in fact, quite the opposite… you’re theme looks awesome! My themes are definitely inspired by other themes on here, so I absolutely agree with you!

Also, I mentioned that it looks similar because that might be one of the reasons why it keeps getting rejected… but that doesn’t seem to be the case now that it is accepted. Great work and congratulations, I love the simplicity!

@GopalDasa – Oh absolutely, yep! I agreed with you. Not sure what you mean by disrespect, I never meant any such thing toward indiapart, just noticed that it looks similar to Orman Clarks’s theme, which should actually be a complement. :) Orman has excellent work, and the fact that someone has built on that is great!

I’m sorry that you took offense indiapart… I hope you understand my comment now. :)

All the best to both of you!

This theme is very similar to Orman’s “Classica” theme here: http://themeforest.net/item/classica-minimalistic-wordpress-portfolio-theme/155672

I really think Forrst should be added as an option for the social profiles section of an author’s profile here on the marketplace: http://screencast.com/t/DhsqHimA

Is there a reason why it’s not available?

Have you checked your email that you use for Envato? You should have already received an email with the rejection reasons. They don’t soft reject items and not send an email with reasons.

Thanks iKreativ ! I have not received a request by the reviewer. How long can I receive it?

You should have received an email with the reasons for the soft rejection. Once you make those changes requested by the reviewer, you can edit your file, upload the new files and have it reviewed again.

Two quick things:

1. Too simple and bland, try adding some color and more depth to the template. 2. Not unique enough, try adding some unique design features.

Typography

I definitely agree with Sara_p. You need to work on typography, especially the line-height (very evident where there are paragraph tags, footer widget, post text, etc….)

Alignment Is Off

Also, you need to align your titles better, for example: http://screencast.com/t/pOrxGYuujj

Too Busy

I would also agree strongly with Sara_p on the business… you might try lightening up the content significantly, there’s just too much content which does not help with the rule of visual hierarchy.

Too Much Contrast

Also, since this is a dark theme, you will want to tone down the white text, there’s too much contrast.

Spacing Issues

Lastly, your theme needs some work with spacing. For example, the spacing between the slider buttons need to be decreased: http://screencast.com/t/GJbJKg5n1h

Example

As an example, here is what I think the “About Us” should look like in the footer: http://screencast.com/t/UsA4DCbOpL67 There are three things that I tweaked in the screenshot:

1. Increased the line height for text to 1.7em 2. Decreased the font size to 12px 3. Toned down the text to #aaa 4. Got rid of the left padding for paragraph tag.

I hope this is helpful for you!

I think this landing page has some potential, good work!

One quick thing that I don’t think was addressed enough by anyone on this thread is whitespace. There are quite a few places where you need to reduce whitespace. See screenshots below:

1. http://screencast.com/t/rbUx8rBjOE9 2. http://screencast.com/t/SMFteSXI

Yup – it’s all above bud in mine and freshface’s comment :)

Yep, you had an excellent review! I guess I should have made myself more clear, what I really meant is that some of the issues weren’t addressed “with enough detail” (screenshots are more specific/helpful) with the spacing. Also, text shadows were not specifically addressed at all, nor was the “&” sign. :) Freshface only addressed the about headers.

Btw, everything you suggested was excellent! It’s great to see professional authors we can trust help other authors along!

P.S. love your portfolio, as always! :)

Also, in the “Features and Benefits” section, I would work on the text shadows in the pricing section: http://screencast.com/t/NTzsetUHc7D

Lastly, and this is not a big deal, I would change the “and” in the “Features and Benefits” title to “&”.

These are my suggestions, I hope they help!

By the way, could anyone tell me how to get to the usual Popular Files? As in, the popular fiels of all categories? Thanks :)

You can view the popular files in all categories by scrolling down to the “New Items” box on the homepage and clicking “Popular Items”: http://screencast.com/t/1k9sRdike4

It takes you here: http://themeforest.net/category/all?sort_by=sales_count&type=files&page=1&categories=all
Thanks for taking the time, but I meant the weekly best-sellers.

Oh, hover over “Community” and click “Popular Files”.
