But.. on our product pages, we want buyer’s eyes to gravitate toward the “Live Preview” and “Buy Now” buttons, not badges. Unfortunately the new badges are so “loud”, it’s the first thing you look at,
Good point. I hope staff sees these posts and actually does something about these new badges.
^ Something like this would have been better (Our humble opinion – we are not masters of illustration). Also with colors differentiating the status (keeping the badges clean) along with tool tip info description.Or else, simply the older one should be back. In all cases, the new badges are not professional
YES PLEASE! These badges don’t have many patterns, they’re all different shapes, different colors they feel very random. Also colored paws NEED to come back.
It was a good idea and there’s nothing wrong with your project, it’s just way too simple. I could recreate that effect in 2 hours, so the problem is that your file isn’t complex enough to save time or be worth adding to Videohive.
Keep practicing and working on the basic principles of design, I got rejected all the time when I started here.
Happy Birthday and thanks! I think the badges should be a bit smaller though.
Last week was amazing but this week has started SO SO slowly
A few people have mentioned that the featured files have been very random lately and I completely agree, hoping that these posts brings some attention to that.
I can’t speak for the top authors, but I would say that their lack of new files is due to the massive increase in new authors and the resulting competition. Videohive has hired two new reviewers since I’ve been here which means a lot more files get approved each day. Like Felt said, it’s not really worth it to continue producing projects that will just be overlooked in the flood of new files, if you can earn double the cash freelancing. But I still think that you’re creating high quality and innovative files they will be successful.
It’s sad that some of our best authors aren’t creating new templates *cough cough Inlife cough Wesleygibson *cough. I hope they understand that good content will always be recognized here and there’s really no reason to quit right now.
Sales are slowly returning to their normal frequency.
