Yeah, I considered the two-accounts thing, but if you can switch back and forth, it seems a pity to waste the extra potential sales… considering that sales benefit your rank as an author.
I see that a lot of people on here have experimented with switching from being exclusive to non-exclusive and vice versa. But what I wonder is this: what happens if I switch twice?? I’m an exclusive author right now, but I’m planning on adding some stock footage that I want to sell on other sites as well. So…I’m hoping to switch non-exclusive for a while to see how it works out. BUT, if it doesn’t noticeably increase my sales, I’ll probably jettison the stock, and go back to just selling AE templates as an exclusive author.
So here’s what I’m wondering: if I switch, my commission rate will obviously go down, but does that mean that the sales I’ve made in the past will be switched to the non-exclusive rate (losing me money), or is what I’ve “banked” safe? And, when/if I switch back to being an exclusive author, if I have to delete the stock footage (which I definitely will be selling on other sites), will I lose the sales from that stock footage on my sales counter, or do I keep those?
Forget it; showed up a while later…
My soft-rejected item just got reviewed and accepted, but it’s not showing up on the homepage; it IS however showing up there if you click After Effects Items only. This has happened to me once before…I really don’t enjoy missing my window of opportunity…help?
It could be the season, it has been consistently down, but I still wonder why it coincided with the day of the update…good to know it’s not just me
Okay, so is anybody else experiencing this: for me at least, up to this point, sales levels are pretty similar from day to day on the weekdays. I’ve been selling between 80 and 100 dollars of footage a day lately. So, the day that videohive gets moved to Ruby 3…nothing. I think i got one sale late that night. Then, the next day, $140! Best sales day I’ve had yet (I’ve only been here a month or so). So I was like “okay, so they had a glitch, they worked it out, no problem, right?”. Wrong. Today, nothing again. I’ve also been having some weird glitchy stuff going on with item approvals…anybody else been having really weird sales levels since the upgrade?
I’m having an issue; one of my files was up for approval today. I had 3 in the queue; and one disappeared (the one that was just about to be reviewed). So naturally I went to check my e-mail, portfolio, etc. But for the past 4 hours…nothing. It’s not in the review queue anymore, and it’s nowhere else either. It just disappeared. Could this be related to the upgrade?
