Thanks guys, I appreciate it!
Been a bit of a stop-start journey for me on here. Signed up nearly 4 years ago to purchase a few bits and bobs and didn’t start selling until April of last year. I only uploaded 3 items for the whole of the rest of the year however.
I’ve uploaded a few more this year but I’ve still been inconsistent, but the success of fellow Graphicriver authors inspires me to do more.
So in an effort to motivate myself, I decided to re-brand my portfolio and profile (used to be Kronen) to coincide with my 1000 sales mark and hopefully (fingers crossed) I will reach the next landmark in much quicker time.
Thanks to buyers, staff and especially the authors on here who inspire me and are achieving great things!
I don’t think you can compensate for everything when enlarging/shrinking even for vector objects. The new size might land on a half-pixel for example and you will get blurry edges.
Also Layer Styles do not scale by default. If you shrink a 300px circle with a 10px stroke down to a 30px circle, it will still have a 10px stroke. You can scale the Layer Styles afterwards though.
Additionally if you have vector shapes inside a Smart Object, they will also not scale, they will behave like raster shapes. You need to scale the shapes inside the Smart Object itself.
Perhaps you are experiencing one of these issues.
To be honest, I dont think this will be a winning tuts+. If it was for Action-script then maybe, but if you make a tut for making a iOS game, what place does it go? Mobiletuts+ or this new place? EDIT : Just looking, there is an activetuts+ with the title `Browser app and game development tutorials`. so I dont get why you would make a site when you already have a site for it, that is already successfully
Activetuts+ has actually been discontinued.
Good luck to the new site. I’m sure there will be some awesome content on there.
Congrats Saltshaker, rightly deserved!
When it was first unveiled all those years ago I thought it was poor, but it has grown on me. The 400k price tag is absurd though.
I think some categories need some tightening up, particularly logos and facebook profile covers. I can understand if they are still trying to still build the numbers of these though.
On the whole I think flyers and web elements (UI sets etc) are pretty much top quality from what I’ve seen.
Big Numbers! Congratulations!
Ridiculous forums. “Hello I`m 21 years today”, Is Random country day”, “I got xxx sales”, etc. This is particularly offensive to the authors since the forums should be centered on design topics / staff announcements etc. I get so tired filtering through dozens of random useless topics. Personally this is the main reason I gave up on using the forums. Thank you.
This very thread is as useless and ridiculous as any other.
