Hi friends, I was already apologized ; there was no need to do that ; we can handle our vacations ourselves, it’s not something vital and only a work of adding a simple notification to our items’ pages. Simple. But what I was mentioning was vital for us, for fellow authors, as you already know.

Please let us know about it.

Kind Regards,
Bedros
No problem, I think we’ll see those links back early next week, maybe sooner.

Thanks very much for your reply, Justin.

Im on this website at least a couple times a day – never saw that category dropdown before now…

Absolutely. DropDown is invisible ; links are invisible and exposure is all related to luck now.

Even your authors are not able to SEE it, think about what new customers will (not) do. Time is money, We need exposure, we need links to be seen. We need exposure for our NEW items, it’s vital ; Envato please fix this, bring our CATEGORY LINKS back on top of “new items” section.

A tip for authors… I found out about this through Google alerts. Since the person used a similar title as my item, I was immediately alerted when Google indexed the page. Without alerts, it could have been up for months before I noticed.

It’s also always a good habit to search for your items with an “exact search” and see what comes up. ;)

I also found a plugin stealing admin emails, like when you install it on your WordPress, it’ll post the admin emails to some URL. Is there a way to report this on Wordpress.org?
If I were you I would email the issue to them immediately. I am sure that they will take it very seriously.
I’d email them, but there’s no email address on their site. There’s no contact form, nothing!
Can’t you find who’s hosting them?
Which hosting are they using?

What do you mean? Which hosting is wordpress.org using? I don’t think that would work…

Is like there’s no way to communicate with them.

Hi friend, found this for you..:

For a WordPress plugin security issue, email plugins [at] wordpress.org with as much detail as you can. You should also contact the plugin developer either via email (if it’s listed in the plugin source code), or by posting in the support forum on their plugin page asking how best to send them details.

It’s from the page below..:

I’m not sure how to DMCA wordpress.org, so I emailed one to support@wordpress.org hoping it gets there. I did find that this author has stolen many other plugins from codecanyon and has been uploading them. I emailed envato support to hopefully get some help. Anyone know exactly how to report DMCA to wordpress.org???

If the “stealer” also has a website, I would also send one DMCA to their hosting service. (I am sure you already know it but you can learn this by a service “whoishostingthis” etc.) ; they will take it seriously and they can even shutDown their website.

Coming to WordPress.ORG, you can also mention the issue via their twitter if you have a ticket number. (and also do not foget to use the word “DMCA” there too)
