Happy Birthday Adrien, all the best…
Happy Birthday, all the best!
I´d suggest to put the standard bit rate at 320 kbps which is the highest standard mp3 rate. If you render a 1 minute wav file (10MB) to a 192 kbps mp3 it´s 1,3 MB big. The size of a 320 kbps mp3 is 2,4 MB, so it´s just about 1MB bigger but offers the best quality in terms of mp3 standard. For all customers in need of full quality, wav files should be provided as well. 48kHz files really make no sense. Any tv or video editor working on a 48kHz session is used to import and convert music from 44.1 to 48kHz. Most of the DAW ´s automatically convert any soundfile with different sample rates. And I guess 24 bit resolution only makes sense if you´re much into dramatically dynamic music.
the same thing happened to me. One of my tracks also has been sold 10 times but didn´t appear in the chart. Also, last month I´ve only made 54 instead of 58 sales according to envato´s list so I contacted support to ask why that is. They answered they had a few issues with the popular files list but developers are aware of that and try to solve the issues within the next days.
All the best,
First off, big respect to Forrest and Emmett for setting up such a great project and giving others the chance to help. It´s good to see how everyone is willing to contribute. But the fact that Envato is not willing to raise the percentage cut of this account makes me really feel sad. Envato would still earn a 30% income from a project that reliefs the poor. To me this is a sign, and I´m afraid it´s not a good one. However I hope that authors don´t get discouraged by that and continue to help!
All the best,
recently I thought it might be a good thing to have more than just one Featured File on the profile page, at least three or five. I´m not sure if that would have any positive impacts on sales but it might be worth a try – given that it´s not that hard to implement.
Any thoughts about that?
All the best for 2010!
