Hi, this one requires a custom work, could you tell us what is your budget for the matter?
Is there really a time limit between item purchase and its actual use?Don’t know how it works on AJ but the countdown starts from the moment of purchase.
I remember that someone from Envato staff mentioned that a license here should be renewed every year, but it’s funny that there’s no mention of it anywhere in the terms. So, I believe customers don’t know anything about duration limits.
I am not asking for personal customer information
Why not? On other sites it’s a normal practice. For example that’s the info I get for every purchase:
Company name or licensee name :
Website(s) URL :
Type : (advertising, game, etc)
Territory: (national, international, etc.)
Duration: : 1_year (2, 3) from date of payment
I really don’t know why Envato still does not implement this scheme, because the way it works now invites abuse. If I hear my AJ work somewhere there’s no way for me to know whether It’s been purchased with regular license, extended license or simply stolen.
If Envato does not give us a chance to monitor the use of our music they should do it themselves.
Another things that bothers me is that there are no prohibited uses for our music here (derogatory content, racism, pornography, etc), which is also a standard part on other sites.
Yeah, I know. It’s really something that Envato should fix. Regular license should apply solely to non-commercial projects. Every project related to making profits, even indirectly, should acquire the extended license. It’s absurd that a 5-figures-budget commercial, that will bring millions of dollars profit to the advertiser, requires a $17 license only because commercials are free to watch…
No, because they don’t sell the video.
So you think you know the meaning of staying cool?
Respectfully to a commercial market place: the most amazing skilful composition recording badly won’t get accepted, while a corny cliche tune in a good quality will be welcome.
