It does not matter. Anyway I did not know Ban or Sam or Web or you in person as well as not seen passports. :-) So anyway it’s just a user names like mine.

Thank you for that information but such a thing should be explained on a start. Everybody use their local time to sleep, live, eat, play. Many big companies have their services settled by user local time, Envato who have millions of member should have that. Now, I have to wait 45 days more just because they, and I’m saying again-with a millions of members, use their local time.

Most banks and payment companies aligne processing to some timezone anyway. It’ hard to alight to all user time zones if you deal with payments.

But I have little candy ! :-) You don’t have to wait 45 days more, it’s just 30 days more, since you missed one month in payment request and you have +15 days even if you requested it on Aug 31 (AEST) .

First of all there is no “real top” term at all. “Top” depends how you define it. Envato defined it simly as marketplace count of sales. You may wish other versions of “top” interpretation depend on your point of view like for example: count of sales divided by count of items divided by average item life multiplyed by average rating. But it’s again not “Real” it’s just another view. :-) lol

There is a trick with invisible picture. I’m using http://ga.webdigi.co.uk/

It’s litle bit limited but after adding small picture tags into each item page I still have with Google analytics a lot more information rather than from Envato analytics.

Good luck!

Interesting thread!
Indeed top authors list should consider more factors involved than just total sales. But still, even so, it’s impossible to rank quality, since that’s pretty much subjective…
Btw, I believe the “3 months Popular listings” should be sorted in all categories separately & top Authors of the current month should be listed according to the current category too ( Different for Stock footages – After Effects – Motion graphics etc) That could help new categories files (Add ons – Apple Motion) & their authors to develop better & quicker too!

Agree! Obviously stock footage sales can’t compare with AE project sales. Could be great to have 3 month popular and top authors based on category. For example my stock footage items are pretty offen (each other week) are in the local popular items http://videohive.net/popular_item/by_category?category=stock-footage but it does not go further it’s hard to compete with project sales. Would be great to have more visibility.

There is a mistake for Pressmaster’s calculation. They have 14,423 videovihe sales and 1770 videohive items (per profile). Top authors page shows number of total items with Photodune, etc while sales number is local for Videohive. So ratio is like 8 sales per item.

But otherwise I agree it looks not so good when much effort into many items but not so many sales while many sales with few items is great achievement.

Also agree with felt_tips about longevity!

Quantity or quality. Great to have both but it’s most difficult. :-)

Don’t see any issue with 1 spam email per 2 years. At least i don’t remember other spam emails from here yet.

As for other service. There are others and I believe competition is always good. Sometimes it looks like Envato in a little euphoria due to the good growth so i wish they work really hard to move forward to the top and above other services.

Best regards, Andrey
