ToivoMedia saidI don’t think it is possible especially now that rival sites have emerged which are indeed promising at least to the authors. That way they will generate a lot of traffic to them and I bet they won’t let this happen.
xstortionist saidI agree. There is supposed to be a clean up every year, but it never seems to happen.
ToivoMedia saidThey need to go in and do a cleanup, get rid of items that do not perform and are below quality standards.
xstortionist saidIt’s a victim of its own success. Maybe the answer is to make quality requirements stricter. Fewer items of better quality would improve the marketplace for buyers and authors.
This marketplace is over saturated with same type of products.
Other marketplaces outside of Envato are advertising… envato not so much. I’ll be honest, I removed all of my files from Envato because I don’t appreciate getting 50% of a sale when I do all the god damn work of advertising my products. It’s bullshit in my opinion.

I made a lot of money at creativemarket in April thus far, way more than I ever did here, that’s for damn sure. This marketplace is over saturated with same type of products.
Comes from Google… don’t even waste your time with the contest… They probably take your identity and sell it to other companies like they doing with everything else without transparency.
Regarding the responsive design. I have a large number of clients that have repsonsive design with ecwid with no problem. Proof is in the analytics
Thanks for the additional info Eugene. It’s your good olde pal from the Ecwid Forums Derek
– Hope to see some good contestants enter this contest!
The issue is that Envato is not being 100% transparent about what is really going on here. Especially with the new GPL license info, it’s not 100% transparent.

Japh saidThanks for clearing that up.
squaredWeb saidHey SquaredWeb, check out section 13(b) of the Regular License
Sorry for asking a probably stupid question, but when i go to a woo theme for example i can purchase a regular licence which grants me use on one website only. How is restricting the amount of uses compatible with 100% gpl?![]()
Well, it really don’t clear things up, because there is not a more indepth explanation regarding what you can legally do with 100% GPL item. I will not go into details but if you do a little Googling, you will find that Section 13(b) is not 100% true to what GPL really stands for.
