:) You play the quiz for 12 days.

Haha! I mean waiting on the track uploading from your computer.

Just a bit of fun. I often go on this website and try a quiz or 2 when waiting on tracks uploading.

This is a good one…

And I don’t think it’s necessary to make another category or put it in “off topic.” It’s not off topic to talk about your achievements on AudioJungle in the AudioJungle forum.

I respectfully disagree.

I don’t mind the threads in the first place, but they need to be sub-sectioned into another area. There was a time when the main Audiojungle forum was packed full of interesting info with great contributions from authors (not just new authors, but prominent authors too) and staff alike. Those threads don’t come up as much anymore, and when they do they get buried very quickly. If you take a look through Audiojungle’s thread history – amongst all the achievement threads – there are some amazing threads packed with great information, but they are also difficult to find because of the forum search tool being a little lacking.

Another option would be to just have an ‘Achievements’ thread that is pinned to the top of the forum. Do we really need a new topic each time? It just creates clutter.

Like I said, I don’t mind the threads, and the positive reinforcement is a good thing – but – as Art-of-Sound’s picture illustrates, it doesn’t make the forum particularly attractive to use when the whole first page is a list of achievement threads.

Achievements post is a great idea. Everyone can share the love and helpful posts with information etc can be found more easily. I have put celebration posts up in the past because I was happy about reaching certain milestones but as more authors join, more milestones are reached (which is great) but the forum may become cluttered. A wee tidy up would be good. :)

Hey NRH,

Extended License sales are few and far between for me. When they come around I just treat it like a little bonus cheque. I dont really think about them to be honest. My best seller with over 700 sales doesn’t get many extended license sales but one time someone bought a music pack from me with an extended license and I got over $100 for a single sale and nearly fell off my chair. If you want so try get a little boost now and again music packs are a good way to do this. I sell far more music packs than I do extended licenses.

Good Luck,

James

Ive only been on AJ for about a year so does anyone know when the last price increase was? I think an increase would be good to keep AJ as one of the top dogs of the royalty-free world. More and more sites are starting up and AJ has the lowest prices I have seen so it would be terrible if it eventually became looked at as a sort of jumble sale for music because its so cheap. I don’t buy music from here but I can only assume that potential new buyers may have the mindset that you get what you pay for so they may be put off. It’s all speculation on my part but AJ is where I do best (I also sell different tracks on 4 other sites) so I want this site to continue to be one of the best. The general opinion of authors doesn’t seem cash orientated, more “for the good of AJ”.
