Just checked last weeks top tracks and I’m number 2. Can’t believe it. The track was feature which no doubt help so thanks to AJ for that. Hope its not a flash in the pan! From a happy and shocked new author!![]()

I’ve been mulling over the original question in this post for a few days also. All replies so far have been very helpful so thanks. I only joined AJ the last week in November and truth be told, I didnt even know what royalty free music was until the start of October. A friend mentioned I should try it because I’ve been playing in bands (as a drummer) and recording tracks for a while. So I did. I have found my main strength lies in catchy guitar based tracks. Pop/rock style. I’ve uploaded tracks in a few different genres but most my sales come from the guitar tracks so I think this will be my main focus with a few different styles dropped in along the way.
My tally since the last week in November when I joined is nearly $1400, over $300 of that from this week alone. I’ve seen a steady rise in sales which has lead me to wonder if it will continue, taper off or drop. It’s an adventure. I’m not too hot at self promotion (at least i dont think I am) but judging by what I’ve read on here, I’ve made a pretty solid start. But I really don’t have any tricks up my sleeve. I’ve only ever thought, “Is that track good enough?” and if I think it is, i’ll upload it.
My income is spread between playing in my band, teaching drums and AJ but I’m keen to try and get some freelance work. But I’ve only been in the game about 2.5 months so I guess these offers come later.
My only advice to new authors is make sure your tracks are well written, well produced and learn from guys like Tim and Soundroll. I hope to be up there with these guys one day and enjoying the journey!
Hey guys. Anyone got advice on how to break into the freelance scene?
Whats the difference between a public collection and making a separate folder? Is it better to do the latter?
Hi Videohive authors!
Just putting a message out expressing interest in collaborating with you guys. I am an Audiojungle author so feel free to use my tracks and we can give each other a link to our profiles and hopefully boost sales!
All the best,
James
It would be handy if there was a time zone selector purely for information such as this. I think my Audiojungle day starts at roughly 1pm but im not 100% sure.
Good going! I hear you… I think i may have to go to AJ Anonymous soon…
Mine just seem crazy each day. 2,3,10,1,1,12,5,6,3…. and so on. I had 10 in one day last week then 1 over about the next 2 days. Its an adventure! Iv heard people say you often get a good start when you sign up then sales die down but i dunno. Hopefully not!
