Now that we can see who rated what, it would be strongly useful if we, authors, could contact users. I just got a rating (3 stars) because the customer wasn’t able to do an operation that instead is supported by my plugin! It’s crazy I can’t contact him to say: hey, you haven’t seen the setting, but it’s just there, I can explain it, so maybe you’ll review the rating you game. Does it make sense??

In this case You should use your Support tab for that item and write there some FAQ’s to prevent further bad ratings.

I think it is not a good Idea to let authors the possibility to contact buyers directly, because it could end with spamming from authors about new items and so on.

If You are duplicating any layers in your Actions – ALWAYS rename it before You jump to another layer and also avoid using special letters or symbols.

If You leave it – it will cause problems with other languages, because it has its default name in that language You are using.

For example in English duplicated layers it adds “copy” to the name of the layer, but in my language it adds “kopírovat” so again allways rename copied/duplicated layers immediately.

I feel like we’re playing a lottery now in terms of which reviewer we get..

It is really sad, but it is also most likely the truth :/

We have written a full tutorial on how to fill in a DMCA template and it also has a sample template that you can use for your own abuse reports, via the following link: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/534/

Thx again for your quick reply Ibby – I’ve read about the DMCA on that link your have provided, but the link to DMCA TEMPLATE on that page isn’t working for me and I get error clicking on it.

Can You please take a look at it?

Thank You

Jan

Hi Jan,

We would need to check the website in question and see the abuse contact form in order to see what they want. There are some websites where you can fill in a form with your personal details and explain the illegal activity but you need to attach a DMCA in .pdf format anyway, this could be what they are asking for.

There are two different ways to submit a DMCA depending on the website. One way is the ‘free-form’ and it’s basically a document you have to fill in manually and save it as .pdf format; that .pdf must be sent via email address or fax to the company in question. The other way is ‘web form’ or ‘abuse contact form’; it’s an online contact form that you need to fill in with the same details you use in the regular ‘free-form’ notice. What’s the difference? No difference, the web form is just faster because you don’t need to generate a DMCA in .pdf format, attach it and send it.

We would love to help you out sending your DMCA, please create a support ticket and let us know the website and we’ll take a look at it to review the requirements. Make sure to select the right department when submitting the ticket, it should be: Copyright > Piracy or Warez Concern

Thanks for your question!

Thank You for your answer – Ticket sent.

I’m also including a screen of this form, which You can find on many “storage” sites. The PDF they they want to upload is at the bottom of this form.

Well can someone tell me, what exactly they want from me? When I create items for GR, what is my approvement of right fot that item?

Thank You for your answer.

Hey V,

if it will be soft-rejected because of documentation, You can find your file in your Hidden Items Tab where You can Edit it.

You will need to include your documentation into the ZIP file with your main item, so you have to upload the ZIP file again, but not the preview image, tags or description.

Hope it helps

Jan
