Thanks a lot, Steve!
Would love to hear some more opinions on that – especially if you videohive authors really actually always keep those areas safe in your After Effects templates.
I’m planning my first videohive item and I’m wondering how relevant action and title safe areas nowadays are. When I did some stuff in PAL /NTSC resolution ages ago for old television devices this was always something to be aware of.
How do you see this issue for Full-HD (1920×1080) resolution for modern screen devices?
Are those areas still something you are aware of when you design your AE templates and stuff…?!
Thanks a lot Marco
Don’t know if accountants are cheaper in other countries but my last one took about 500,- EUR for doing my annual tax stuff – that’s about what I’ve earned on audiojungle in 2011
this is now the first time I have to declare my audiojungle income (started in February 2011) – I’m wondering how you other German authors deal with the foreign currency (USD). I withdrew my audiojungle income almost monthly to my Paypal account and each time I got it, it was still in USD and I had to exchange it to EUR in Paypal.
So for my annual tax declaration: Which EUR amount do I have to declare? (I didn’t usually exchange it immediately to EUR so I’m not sure which exchange rates I have to chose for my tax declaration) – So how do you do this usually?
I don’t want to consult a tax consultant for that as he/she costs more than what I have earned on audiojungle And I managed to do my tax stuff by myself without any problem for the last couple of years (but then my income was just pure EUR .)
Thanks a lot for your help in advance!
Thanks a lot, Liam! I hope it has a positive effect. Hardly ever had such bad sales as I have at the moment (November has been my best month, though…)
All in all, I’m liking the new changes! Can’t wait for the price increase and the new search engine.
Price increase?! I must have missed something… Where can I find more info on that topic? Sounds good actually!
Thanks for letting us know about that, Marco, I’ll follow up with support to find out what happened. Maybe they thought it was a customer purchasing and using the audio in a video which is of course allowed. in the meantime the info in my previous post still stands/applies, hope this helps clarify.
Thanks a lot! It was ticket ID 133561
Hey guys, just a reminder that when using/promoting your AudioJungle music on YouTube, you must always use the watermarked version of your track if you are an Exclusive member: http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/promoting-on-youtube/21891?page=1
This is because it is so easy to rip the music from YouTube videos, you will be shooting yourself in the foot if you make it easy to give your unwatermarked audio away for free when the point is to sell it!Thanks for understanding.
that´s interesting. I had exactly that question some months ago (see my second question here: http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/license-questions/45793 ) and I emailed Audiojungle support about this question. They told me it´s actually allowed to use your own music “unwatermarked” if you use it for promotion purposes in your own videos – also as exclusive author.
So what´s “official” now?! Shall I buy my own songs to get the “license” to use them in a promotional video? – That would be kind of ridiculous, right?!
just wanted to let you know that I got an answer from the support:
So for 1: No, that´s not possible! (I could remove the item from audiojungle and then sell it – that would be okay)
2: No problem to use a track for self promotion (since I´m not distributing/selling the music)
