My thoughts, as Joel Hunger said, it is fraud if you do not report, but the IRS can only audit you back to 3 years is my understanding. Let’s say you make $1,200 a year and you are in a 15% tax bracket and you don’t report your taxes from Audiojungle, you would be in debt to the IRS about $180 a year plus probably penalties of about $100. So if you got audited, you would owe close to about $640 to the IRS in the audit. This is a rough estimate of course, but one has to ask the question- Is the IRS really going to come after you for $640? There is not enough people in the IRS to even worry about it. But…... I think as an author it is important to gauge your income on AJ and realize risk vs reward. If you do start to go past a certain income threshold, it is probably going to be a bad idea to not report your AJ income. If you were making over $2,400 a year on AJ, you might want to consider reporting your income and save yourself a big fine if you did end up getting audited.
Sorry to mislead. Apparantly audits can go back farther for under estimating or reporting of income. Take it for what it is worth I guess. Use best judgement.

It definitely is a problem, but buyers dictate the marketplace. If buyers want ukulele, people are going to write ukulele tracks until they are run into the ground. And unfortunately, there is only so much you can do with an instrument like that. So songs will sound the same. It is tough for artists to stay the path of their own sound, when they are trying to earn a living, so it is understandable to a point.
To be fair. I have seen top authors take lesser known tracks on audio jungle and copy them. Due to the authors sheer dominance in the marketplace, they have been more successful than the person they copied. Its a dog eat dog world.
I would like to make this suggestion. Thanks for listening!
http://audiojungle.net/item/chaser/79383Hey There dtmp,
Here’s something that may work. Listen past the intro, and you will hear it similar in synth styles and tempo. Thanks for listening!
http://audiojungle.net/item/electro-life/575698The fact of the matter is that authors keep growing and the reviewers do not. The only real remedy is to limit the amount that authors can upload in a time frame of say maybe 1 month. Maybe a different amount for music vs sound effects. I think at some point it has to happen.
Hey There,
I found 2 of your projects “Dark City” and “Dead Planet”.
Maybe this song would be a good fit.
