I’m enjoying SampleWiz. I use it more as a toy than a serious musical instrument; it has given me some good laughs. Garageband is my de-facto way of trying new musical ideas when I don’t want to sit in front of a computer.

Those are some sweet guitars @Mihai_Sorohan. I want. I have quite a few guitars for different things, all which are left handed:
— ESP (LTD) 6 String (tuned to drop D)
— ESP (LTD) 7 String (as heard on my royalty-free track Vela Pulsar)
— Ibanez S series 6 string (tuned down to drop C)
— Axl Flying V 6 String (standard tuning)
— Cheapo no-name acoustic I got for $60
— Rogue Bass 4 String
— Brice Bass 6 String Fretless
I plan on getting another six-string soon for live shows. Or I might get a 9 string guitar. Getting a decent left handed guitar (that isn’t black) tend to cost quite a bit more.
Here’s a video of me playing “Crazy Fast Metal Guitar Solo” on the guitar

Do they come out with a new reason every year? If was an active Reason user, I would probably feel compelled to upgrade every release, and I imagine that would become rather costly. I suppose I should think of it as a yearly tax to get some sweet synthesizers by the Propellerhead overlords.

Interesting. I’m Curious to see where AudioJungle takes this. I imagine this will be good for artists who aren’t interested in producing an entire album. “TRAX” can only bring more traffic to AudioJungle, so I am pleased with this announcement.

If you’re up for a Vocal “do it all in one” plug, you might also try : http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/nectar/
This. This application. It’s brilliant. If you like presets, Nectar is your friend. If you plan to work on vocals more than three times in your life, Nectar is a must have. I talked to the iZotope guys at AES 2010 ; great company.

The signature series plugins by Waves appear to be overpriced presets. $400 for a compressor preset to make your vocals sound similar to Jimmy Page, or Beyonce. I love presets and I buy software all the time for their pre-configured sounds, but I personally don’t consider the Waves premium to be worth it. Waves would be a lot more attractive if they didn’t use the draconian DRM system known as “iLok.” I don’t buy software with archaic digital rights management.

I used Guitar Rig 3 for live shows before. One time it choked up at the beginning of our set. Learned my lesson.

I wouldn’t expect the AudioJungle staff to do anything about it. The Envato marketplace’s philosophy seems to be “we just host your files on our sites, and you do everything else (for a nominal 50% tax).” It’s up to the authors/artists to copyright their own music and market their marketplace items, so I would suspect enforcing the copyright and licensing are up to the copyright owners. I would love it if Envato would help artists when it comes to this stuff, but I think it’s a little unrealistic expect this. I don’t see them fighting battles in court on behalf of artists earning them in the hundreds or thousands of dollars.
