- Design, mainly working out why it doesn’t look good :/!
Strangely, I can easily do it for other people’s work, far easier than for my own templates
Hello fellow authors,
I am very interested to hear what you consider your own strongest and weakest point in web design, and how you use it to your advantage, to stand out, or how you combat it.
Personally, I think that animation is my strong suit, and I like to emphasize it in my designs. I used to be pidgeonholed into Flash before jQuery came around, now I have the power in my hands (of sorts :-)).
Typography is certainly, and by far, my weakest point. I always seem to pick worse fonts and styles than my 4-year old nephew would .
Thus, I try to design templates and themes, that rely mostly on animation and attracting the eye, rather than clean and typography designs, that would emphasize my flaws.
How about you?
Congrats man!
Just checked, I’m 5th in Themeforest!
Hello friend,
- I LOVE the menu effect, the background is not good, though
- Not enough content / pages are available
- The footer could use some more spacing, especially vertical
- Some pages like the home page are magnificent, and some others, like the contact page scream lack of attention
- Overall, I really like it, it’s original and fresh. However, it lacks meat (pun pun) content and some minor spacing issues throughout Best of luck, Nikos
An easy way is to make use of the Skeleton framework:
http://www.getskeleton.com/Hmmm… I have downloaded apps like Firefox and Siblime Text 2 and attached them to the dock. However, after each restart, their icons become huge questionmarks until I start them again.
Can anyone help me with that?

ditched the stupid mouse and gave it some timeafter couple of days you are getting used to it and it seems comfortable. but then you take mouse on windows machine and it like “nah, in windows it is better”

Hahaha, indeed. And I’m simply the worst person when it comes to mice. I have more than 10 mice, including some from Razer, Logitech, etc and none fits my style perfectly.
When I first used the Magic mouse, I was “wtf, am I supposed to use this?”. Instantly plugged in my trusty Intellimouse
Damn it. And I just can’t get into Chrome developer tools…
Hello friends,
this is my first post from my new iMac. I LOVE IT !
It was really weird and unconfortable at first, ditched the stupid mouse and gave it some time, and simply, everything just “clicks”. Got Coda, Photoshop, Firefox, Firebug (duh), set up my mail accounts, etc.
Thanks for all the input, Nikos
