when this bundle is going to end? was 2 hours left when I’ve checked 6 hours ago, now is 4 hours to go
wait now is 8 hours to go :|

:) I checked the 1st time i saw your post was 4 hours and now 8!!! Probably trying to minimize the failure on the new bundle style!!!

On a more serious note. A place like envato should not be playing around with this kind of stuff. Just loses credibility. Bad. Bad

We are living in times of changes and humm!!! Well :)

EDIT: The promo should say “3 Packs. 1 Bundle. 2 Weeks only. or Maybe More!!” :)

Sales wize ive seen several bundles here! But this new Bundle Style it seems that was a failure regarding the overall amount of sales. At least it seems so.

I use this plugin as well, but it becomes a problem when a website asks you to pay $12 to see the links of the hosting sites. I’m not going to pay this just to be able to send an DMCA to the hosting sites. Them pirates are getting smart.

Never found one of these yet!! But understand the frustation.

Back on topic :) Roolercoaster and weird sales. My best sellers died after the search so my sales are not constant at all and dont know what to expect till the end of the month witch is frustrating aswell.

Well i was thinking just the same – why doesn’t envato hire some people who would work on fighting piracy and do only just that. I think people would go to marketplaces as there would be less or no much warez items left. Thus envato would earn more than it would pay that/those specialists who remove the illegal content…

:) Why to pay for a service that authors do for free.

Although i think as some users do. Its a waste of time and who goes there doesn’t need licenses. Or when they need they will have to buy the license anyway so they will have to come here :)

One thing that i think can be positive is that if someone downloads something free temp of mine, after watching tutorial and realizing that the item is of quality he will probably look for my other work and will find it at VH, so it can be a “bad” but still a way of promoting our items.

I do waste a few hours per week sending dmcas only to the hosters and not to the websites. Atm working with http://videohive.net/forums/thread/dmca-sender-free-plugin-helping-you-protect-your-products/109886 Saves a lot of time :)

Devs dont like us to blame search engine changes but what else did change from Jan to Feb? “Search” yeah!!

There was a balance in the Market and an intuitive way of searching for stuff (with some bugs but still better than now).

Search engine changes made that balance to disappear, making the obvious hurting some authors and benefiting others.

Buyers didn’t disappear, they are just buying whatever is on the 1st pages for the searched keywords. If cant find it check popular items page there must be there something similar to what im looking for – Bam!! :)

If you look on the Envato side probably they are earning the same in the general picture, the balance just changes on the authors side. I have nothing against the authors benefiting from this. I just blame an defective search that in the long might end up losing buyers because of poor usability and losing authors because of frustrations like this.

On a side note, if authors keep getting their work not found why not throwing away the exclusive status here and start uploading else where. On the long run making video-hive just like any other competitor. Which is not “Now” and those that spend time on other markets know what im saying.

Old “search engine” you are forgiven for your bugs… Come back :)

Just my opinion :) based on facts off course.

Crazy month this one! Regarding sales i had a 30% decrease comparing to the average of my last 6 months.

I also share the feeling that Brian posted above regarding “erratic sales”. Days with no sales i cant remember the last month that happened. Then selling old items that where almost “forgotten”. Dropping sales of best selling items in my portfolio.

@Brian 10% less on February because it has less days i dont agree :) based on my historic data Feb always has been better that Jan well except 2014 :)

Lots of posts on forum, even i that dont write much on forums had the chance to get out of my chest :) on the “search topic” (right or wrong doesn’t matter was my feeling)

Well a crazy Month.

Lets see what comes in March. Hope buyers can find what they want and that we all can sell what we offer.

So – should I change the title from “22 Awesome Cartoon Text Presets”, just to “Cartoon Text” and stuff the description with keywords instead of putting useful information in there? Or perhaps copy the title, keywords and description from a similar file that appears to still be selling. Because that’s what Search is telling me to do loud and clear.

Brian agree on all that was/is being said on this thread and on the Sales Monitor thread. I hope that it doesn’t come to this or VH will face a dark age at least losing all its fundamental characteristics that distinguishes from the competition and that makes the market that is today.

I do feel the pain of all fellow authors expecting a great February and about to turn on a “Black February” for maybe most of us.

And before i leave my opinion/Feeling i hope devs and staff take this on the positive and true side of things and not the other way round. Also not understating coding but i can imagine that all these algorithms take a lot of effort / know how / work to implement and i do much respect everyone that is hard working.

Now i share my Feeling as an Author since Nov 2010, and i think that one way or another those that are here for a while feel something similar if not the same.

Sales – Drastically reduced as mentioned many times by many people wich is rightfully a big concern to those that spend time envolved with this marketplace and rely on the earnings to put food on the table.

2nd but not less important – “Our Sense of Belonging” – One way or another every author here that spends time / Months / Years have learned how to “Feel” the Market, how it reacts, how it works. Its our Ecosystem. We might be all wrong, after all we are designers and not coders, so maybe we have been wrongly working since the beginning what respects “search technology”.

But this was the way we grew as community and as business in a all, so we until recently felt comfortable because even if the “search rules” were wrong we knew them and over the time we adjusted our selfs creating, marketing, tagging and so on to those rules.

Now those same rules that we were educated changed completely, and to be honest i feel completely lost. Our “Ecosystem” changed from night to day. I no longer know where is “North and South”.

As an author / buyer / referral until a few days ago i was sure of the path that i should continue, now i dont know anymore.

We all feel that a little bit of VH belongs to each one of us and the frustration that i feel now is not only because sales drooped, is also that i dont recognize this VH that we grew up with.

Once again just my feeling / opinion, dont take it wrong. We all know that everyone wants the best for VH.

To finish up as Brian said before maybe what is good for themeforest may not be good for videohive. All markets have a different “Ecosystem” that make them what they are today “Successful”.

Sorry to write so many lines, just to take it out and share with the community. Best Regards RJ
