Harmful? It’s harmful that TF doesn’t have anything like this, but it’s just a competition.
I’ve seen it couple times when I log into customers’ dashboard for support, so even if they have this ‘feature’ they still use themes from ThemeForest But kudos for HoHo, it’s great marketing move, too bad ThemeForest didn’t use that idea. One of the top authors here also use/used similar thing, each theme added another page to dashboard that listed other themes from this author.
did you get documentation with the theme? Most themes just after installation won’t look even close to what you see on demo page, you need to setup widgets, options, sidebars, page contents, sliders etc. Most (if not all) themes have documentation that covers this process step by step.
For now wpengine, but I have to find some time to try digitalocean
Dropbox, GitHub daily, external HDD from time to time
Many buyers have problems with the simplest things in WordPress, even finding Purchase code to verify support request is sometimes a problem, so good luck with that. It will just irritate most of buyers, and confuse the rest resulting in many 1 star ratings.
@Purethemes – you’re obviously the better man here between all of us, but I’d also go Koev’s way here. I want to see him grow from a small pup and be able to relate to him ever since he’s still very young. That would help me a lot in turning him into a dog that knows what I need. Plus, I want a chocolate lab specifically (even though I love all dogs, this breed is my soft spot) and I really can’t find one of those in a shelter.
No I’m not I absolutely understand you, but there are sometimes organization specialised in taking care of abandoned dogs from one breed, for example in Poland we have one just for boxers https://www.facebook.com/FundacjaBokseryWPotrzebie or for beagles http://beaglewpotrzebie.pl/ they sometimes have also puppies, so it might be worth to check if you have something like that where you live.
Actually probably my biggest fear is that he would take advantage of the fact that my office is home and that he’ll be around here with me all day and that eventually he’d bug me every 10 minutes.
I was living in Malaysia for half a year, and house owner where we rent a room got the dog while we were being there. As she and my gf worked in the same office, I was staying at home, working on WordPress theme and taking care of the dog. It was a puppy still so she slept good part of the day, but when she was awake there’s no chance to get her out of the room http://instagram.com/p/Y-LcmGj1FK/ . She is lovely dog http://instagram.com/p/YVA9PVj1OV/
First thing: don’t buy, adopt
I had experience with a boxer in 2 rooms apartment – it was very time-consuming to take care of this dog, but he was spoiled on one side, and had a lot of health problems on the other side – but still you’d spend at least 2-3 hours per day to walk with him, maybe less when he was older, plus cook food for him as he couldn’t eat standard ‘dog food’. Dog is great responsibility, maybe even greater than kids. Kids will grow up and be able to take care of themself, dog will always be depended on you. And it’s painful that they have short lives.
