Really great playing, wonderful sound, congrats mate!
MatthewTanner saidHey Matthew
SoundCity saidOkay, you asked for it Though I didn’t make it a blind shootout: https://soundcloud.com/jhungermusic/sets/bla-vs-rme-shootout
blind test guys!! @mat, I also have a second hand fireface800 that I use for mobile work, sounds great!
Well I didn’t (ask for it), but I found it very interesting all the same. I fear both units are out of my price range, definitely the sparrow. Both sound great I think – the sparrow has more of a bloom and air around it when I listen on headphones – more present, if that makes any sense. Love the feel of the track Joel.
This is turning into a right good thread isn’t it! Has anyone done a shoot-out between a Focusrite Saffire/Scarlett and an RME?Don’t worry if not.
I never made a shootout regarding the audio values between those two. But it’s a joke to compare the two interfaces: You have much less latency on the RME (probably less than the half with the same setting and less CPU load. Even with the small Babyface. You never can compare this: Focusrite uses any USB to Audiochip, while RME doesn’t even use a USB to audio chip. They do it with a FPGA. This means, they can program the USB interface itself and update it whenever needed because of a new USB chipset etc. Thanks to this you can use RME products usually as long as nothing else, even when the interface standard changes and new OS show up. They do a great job supporting very old devices!
This results in a dramatically lower latency, higher reliability and compatibility. Beside this it even has a nice zero-latency mixer built in with EQ & FX.
Beside this, RME is known for some of the best AD/DA converters and Mic preamps. More information here:
That is very well deserved with your top notch work. I’m a fan of your tracks! Way to go man!!
Hey my friend, that’s A W E S O M E !!
But no wonder, you did a great job! The right songs, perfectly played, recorded and mixed! You really got talent mate!
I remember as you overtook me like a racing car
Way to go man!
But of course I make sure that you always see me close in the rear view mirror, not to beat you, but to motivate you to go faster and higher
SoundCity saidSomehow yes, good idea, somehow not: Be careful with Firewire, others than USB this isn’t a very common port anymore. This will disappear completely soon. And: You generate more CPU load and longer latency with the Firaface 400/800 than with the Fireface USB versions!
RME my friend!!! used Fireface 400 or 800 to save a little $
btw: I have a second hand Fireface 800, interested ?
NoizMan said+1 If you really want no problems, even after some years (regarding driver and compatibilty issues) and if you like ultra low latency and a minimum of CPU load, never buy a different interface than RME!
RME Fireface UFX is really good. 12 Analog inputs ( 4 preamped ) and expendable with ADAT ports. Converters are great and it has a very nice software interface.
If you want so save money, buy the Babyface, which is almost as fast as the UFX, but the preamps are not exactly that good and of course it doesn’t have that many I/O. Believe me, I’m selling Audio Interfaces since 1994….
+1 from me!
Yes, this would solve many problems and make it more convenient for buyers and authors!
Even when we can ‘sort’ our items with collections and some nice links to them, still many customers just browse the portfolio and don’t have any benefit kind of ‘categories’ we made.
On bigger portfolios like Creattive’s or mine it’s just a nightmare like it is now… :/
Please, please dear devs! I really think it’s a VERY important feature
I have some tracks with vocals here: http://audiojungle.net/collections/2438628-vocal&ref=matsteiner
I wish you good luck with your project and many sales!!
AlexVombat saidI’m VERY sure i’ts not because they don’t like Saxophones generally. But the same I wrote about expresssoul’ s track applies to your’s too Edit: To emulate Saxophones with Midi is not an easy task…! I know what I’m talking about…I was struggling myself already
Apparently they do not like saxophones My track was twice Hard Rejected.Do not be discouraged! The more they beat us, the more we grows stronger
Very good job Josh, thanks a lot to you Collis too to share some of what you are doing the entire day!
It’s a bit confusing to see you in a T-Short while we got some snow here and wit’s really, really cold over here:D Something must be wrong down under
I wish you all the best and a lot of wisdom for your company, and even more for your family and the new baby! I wish you a great time with the upcoming baby too, Cyan & Collis. I’ll pray that everything goes well and peaceful and we’re looking forward for good news soon!! I’m not jewish, but ‘shalom!’ is the perfect word and wish for you.
We all love sales, but to raise childrens is something of a much higher value, we have three of them too
I’m glad to see that you’re still having time for your family, otherwise I almost would feel bad to sell on this really awesome marketplace
Greetings from Switzerland!
