Thank you for the support guys.
This feeling of having your best project up to date getting axed, does it go away at some point?
Why does blood & swords get you a reward ? And this project gets a cold hard rejection and a false accusation.
- If the intention was to make it really “sensual” it would’ve taken me 1 second to drag a red color on the lips and 5 minutes to set up Hair, and no, it wouldn’t have been a Lullaby music.
- All the Shopping Window Dolls are now rated R. Apparently, some people find them too “sexual” .
- A Marketplace that claims to promote Arts – censors nudity in its purest form and encourages violence? LOL.
PHANTAZMA saidMe too. Atleast now they clarified the kind of “Rest” (zzzZZzz) they meant when they said “You do creative we’ll do the rest”
I thought the marketplace was artist friendly first and foremost.
@HappyCreative – Family friendly marketplace? Thats the education we give to kids? Ancient Battlegrounds and Weapons are Great (Beautiful Outstanding Project! btw!) and get Element 3D Rewards.
But when it comes to showing the beauty of the female body, same one that promotes Life, same one we all came from – Hell no.
Kids who are raised to believe “Ancient Battleground” and weapons are good -
are growing up in a anything but a Children-friendly environment.
This is the same type of censorship thats responsible for growth of young terrorists.
This is the same behavior this marketplace is encouraging – Weapons are good , nudity is bad.
Don’t even want to go into what would art or art schools be (same ones we send our children into) without ANY nudity.
There’s clearly a huge DOUBLE-STANDARD sign here flickering, seems like its been a year and nothing has nor will change.
Had to bump this discussion up again. A project of mine just got axed for “Sexually depiction of the human body”So here is my example (children warning: features a cg-statue of a naked female) https://vimeo.com/77020697
Dearest Envato – How about we clarify what is forbidden and what isn’t? Scott Wills was really nice and he told me this project might actually be approved, as “it’s very artistically done” but that in general, as a Rule of thumb – This marketplace is PG 13. According to the MPAA (Motion Pictures Association of America, those who came up with the term)
PG13 Allows brief nudity which isn’t an implication of anything (*Source: http://mpaa.org/ratings/what-each-rating-means and a bunch of movies such as Titanic, every James Bond, Total Recall 2012, etc)
Heck, there’s even PG and G Rated movies out there with nudity. (The Secret Garden’s Shower scene)
Why are bronze statues and hand drawn sketches allowed in Photodune but CG renders of female statues with AO are forbidden in Videohive???Photodune (look in similiar items there are PLENTY more): http://photodune.net/item/nude-bronze/4422703?WT.ac=category_thumb&WT.seg_1=category_thumb&WT.z_author=Feelings http://photodune.net/item/nude/4132423?WT.ac=category_thumb&WT.seg_1=category_thumb&WT.z_author=mibuch
If we’re so children friendly, what about all those gun, violence and blood splatter projects? the women in bikinis posing with lipstick?
There was nothing that implies more sexuality or explicit material in this project than any Miley Cyrus, Photodune Bronze Statue, James Bond Opener or Videohive Blood, Gore and Violence project out there. If you happened to watch this and got turned on or felt uncomfortable – MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES! It was never the intention of this project.
It might have actually brought something new and different to the table. Helped promote Freddie Hangoler who’s the talented musician behind this track – Guess not. That’s it, rant’s over.
P.S Still big props to the reviewers, even if we don’t agree on this one – really appreciate the fact you kept it on hold and gave it further thinking. Guess “attempting to expand the boundaries” period is over – Stay tuned for upcoming Sunny Afternoon Galleries
“And they fiercely drew out their Swords in Bundles stabbing them slowly and painfully through the heart…”The end.
Exactly, you need CS5.5 then you can Open it in CS5.5 and Save As CS5 . Your other option would be OpenSesame but it could be messy when you have text layers, or effects such as Curves, and a few others
It simply depends on the outcome of the discussion. In the scenario where we would’ve mutually agreed the Item’s main idea was indeed “borrowed” then maybe a link back on the items page or a small thank you email would’ve been more than fine.
In a scenario where they would disagree the idea was borrowed I’d simply move on, as he said previously, the final outcome is different enough for both to co exist.
