too busy, use an auto drop down header menu instead
new tv shows: 1. Castle 2. 2 Broke Girls 3. Nikita 4. Hawaii Five-O 5. Big Bang Theory
Black Fridays work for me, I’ve just spent a small fortune on another site. Sure prices are good on here, but there’s nothing like a time-limited discount to encourage you into buying a product you might have been dithering over for weeks.
+1 totally agree; for years I’ve been saying Envato should do something like “ENVATO 20% OFF BLACK FRIDAY SALE” ... I get excited just thinking about it, but sadly my many dollars this weekend go to Other sites that have BF deals. epic fail envato… lol…
an idea for the WP plugin coders- maybe develop some kind of “Deal of the Day” plugin for wp themes? It would likely sell a Lot. Something like how amazon has “daily deals” or “gold box special of the day”.
How it would work would be it shows a new image plus text/order link each 24 hours. Kind of like a banner rotator but with 24 hour cycle on delay. And what we as site admin would do is, enter maybe 20-30 different offers that are rotated one per day, over several weeks.
make sense? other buyers would you buy a “deal of the day” or “deal of the week” type plugin?
yeah that would explain it too, about timing for when authors submit w/5 day release….
keep an eye out, you’ll probably notice the same thing, is a lot of the week’s top projects come on the mini-flood on Thursdays
hi – in noticing trends here the last few years, it seems that envato chooses to release the top-priced, usually best projects on Thursdays. That’s also the day in which overall most projects are posted. Am i right in that observation? (and, almost nothing’s posted on weekends, something I would suggest changing). I’m here daily, my favorite place to be, so I noticed.
gotta have coffee… favorite brand lately is one called “peet’s”...it’s really good. I used to make espresso but then I was getting too much caffeine so I switched back to regular coffee… must – have – coffee—
i think the surcharge is a bad idea and makes negative first impression. you should welcome new money coming in with no penalty for single one-off purchasers since that’s how most new customers will come in
Different versions of similar basic design elements, like news packages (all of which are somewhat similiar in design, and should be), or extruded logos, or lower thirds, or “epic title” logos, all of which I’ve bought a lot of, I think aren’t things that should be policed as much.
Particularly when the specific implementation details (like camera angles, particle/reflective mapping use) are quite unique.
What I’d be upset with is for example if I as an author had designed a very Unique, original concept (hard to define though), like say an outdoors animation with billboards or an island theme or a subway or sci-fi theme, that was then totally copied; That’s the type of thing I’d suggest focusing copyright infringement enforcement on, since it was a highly original design concept that was copied. But not 3d logo stuff, that’s a basic design element/style that’s open to interpretation, like sliders for templates, type of thing, so unique versions are welcome.
at least from this buyer’s perspective hope that makes sense
I’m looking to make a site similar to CNN’s video page:http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/offbeat/2013/10/13/newday-vo-snl-government-shutdown-nasa.cnn.html
it would be neat if anyone has a theme like that, with youtube embed at top and video carousel at bottom… just an idea
