i noticed that some audio file specs have a ‘320 kbps’ tag and wondered what it is exactly related to? for example one my files is a .WAV file and has this tag.. i don’t understand why. is it some kinda mistake or does it belong to mp3 perhaps?

i think you can make these kinda sounds with just about anything.. it’s probably based on samples because, like you said, it is made with a tracker. but where do these samples come from? i do not know.

regarding trackers, check out renoise.. it’s VERY modern, and supports plugins, lua scripting ( you should like that ;] ) and runs on multiple os’s.

so basically you need to use a limiter..

also, for brightness you could try some reverb and/or exciter tools, cutting out the mud with eq also helps, a lot.

seems it was a temporary glitch then. all ok now.

when i posted this is was making private collections and at one point some collections disappeared from the ‘bookmark this’ dropdown box, so i couldn’t put in new items, and those collection that disappeared both had 16 items in them, so i figured i hit some kinda max threshold
