benbate saidDon’t give up mate!
It’s brilliant mate. Really great job. I’m having the same problem at the moment Ben
I just found out that your theme got approved! Congratulations mate! What modifications you have done?
Thanks! Slightly changed several design issues and just a little bit of bugs that I found
Still getting message from people who thinks as you guys do.
I really hope to get reply from staff or something..
Just a preview of the PSD .
I think you should try to fill the theme with a “real” content, fix some minor white-space problems and resubmit it again.
I had experienced this once – my theme was hard-rejected by a reviewer who obviously wasn’t a fan of minimalism and after changing minor things, it was gladly approved by another reviewer without any problems.PS: I like your theme a lot!
Hey, I remember you very well! I think I even replied in that thread you opened about this template.
One of the things I really hate, is some generic and silly text. That’s the main thing I told myself to change before the submission. for some reason, I didn’t do that .. So I will certainly change it.
Yes, I’m talking about the preview. Man, dont’n give up! Soon or late you will get your theme approved.
It’s very kind of you.. thanks mate..
Yes but most clients are turned on by the “demo” you have to bring to them the eyecandy wow effect if u do not your doomed… so i just pointed out some design flaws. You always have to show them the full potential not “o that doesnt matter they will know that they can change it”... well thats my opinion
I take it as obvious, really.. so I agree with you!
Wow! Your theme looks great! Much better tham many, many themes we see here on TF. Have you submitted the screenshots? I’m asking because my theme was rejected based on the screenshots. (my google analitycs shows no access in my demo from envato staff during the evaluation period). Are your screenshots on par with the demo? Dor, I feel your pain. Maybe you have to try to re-submit your theme. Maybe this time you get a less !#$&% reviewer. =D
I don’t blame the reviewer. I think he do a great job. daily basis. we all see the high quality TF presents. though, I am certainly sure there wasn’t been “justice” with this one, Like it’s been missed.
Can you explain again the thing with the screenshots? I couldn’t understand what you’re meaning.. If you mean to the preview, then I do took screenshots of almost all the pages.
Thank you for your kind words.
Hi, besides uniqueness, there ar ejust few stuff i would change….
background pattern aint working for me…would go solid color i dont digg the quote font, to thin and just i dont like it Would make nice custom more interasting buttons and maybe bigger And i would use preview images in slider (the browser images)Hope i helped at all… i thik this is the question of polishing.. and the typo is kind of strange.
Thanks, I do appreciate that.
Though, I don’t think the thickness of my blockquote is what matters here, correct my if i’m wrong. About the buttons - one of my main features is the compatibility with bootstrap. If you would navigate the elements page, you could see that you can customize it by yourself.
The browser in the slider is empty, but I see many templates with empty block and the dimensions in it, therefore I don’t think it’s what count either.
From soup to nuts, there is logic behind every single page.
Dear ThemeForest communnity, I feel like I’m really need your help.
I am working on an HTML template for a long time to put the most useful features and check that everything works well and also make it high quality etc. etc.
Anyway, 2 days ago, I finally submitted my project. It was taken 13 hours, and then I received an automatic message saying why is my template not been approved. It was saying my template is minimalistic etc. etc. well, that seems a bit surreal. Here is some of my template features:
- Useful infobar with social media links (works with js cookies)
- Very responsive, for any kind of device. Tested on iOS and Android.
- Slider with mobile touch-events support
- Filterable portfolio, with 4 types of layouts and styles, also 3 layouts of single item
- Pricing tables
- Tons of elements and icons (compatible with bootstrap)
- Latest CSS3 and JQuery techniques
- Total of 23 HTML page
- PSD included
And I can keep on, but I was really hoping you can have a look and tell me where I’m wrong.
I can tell you that I’m being very objective about it, and yet I’m certainly sure my project will be very popular. I don’t say that just because it’s my template, because if you will see my first item “clapper” then I can tell you that the new project is at least x10 better, from all aspects.
Here is the demo:
I even wanted to simulate adding a regular comment. Try to add one:
I would give you a few links to show you what minimalism is, but i don’t think it’s very ethical.
Looking forward to see what you all thinks.
Consider replace the social media icons.. or at least reduce its size, it’s huge. The logo is still kind of weird. Overall, you need to pay more attention the little things.Best of luck:)
I’m working on improving the color scheme at the moment, i’ll post a new version as i come up with something better. Thanks to both for your comments
How are you? we didn’t talked for a while.. Thanks for your support, I appreciate that a lot!
Yes, I guess I have to try to do this by myself.. that’s the best solution..
Sorry to hear about this. I still reckon your best bet is to take some time to learn WP. Like I said it’s not all that difficult once you get the hang of things, and you definitely have the skillset to do this.If you need any resources or anything feel free to PM me.
You definitely right, but yet.. the thought he’s running out there. might be “screwing” someone else, under your marketplace, that I’m taking part of.. It doesn’t seems right :/
who knows, he might fell into a giant hole waiting for rescue. That’ll explain it..
Everyone, thanks for trying.
In future, as always, it’s best to organise a signed agreement for any work to be completed. This ensures both customer and supplier know exactly what is going on, when milestones are due, and what compensation is due (if any). It will also provide a legal backing if anything bad were to happen from the arrangement.
Glad you learnt from this one, and it’s good to see you warning the community on what can go wrong in working arrangements. All the best in resolving this project – and good luck to your future projects.
Joost, pay attention the little details..
I wrote “Be aware”, and I didn’t mentioned the author username. So yes, definitely! I want to warn the community from him. This thread is obviously doesn’t supplying all the information, and it’s kind of useless without the author username.
And yes , last response was @ Sun 15/04/2012 07:22. He gave me a website called “Basecamp”. he told me I’ll be able to look his progress over there. Look at the log:
Sent: Sat 14/04/2012 22:53
To: x ..
“x can you send it today please?”
Sent: Sun 15/04/2012 07:22
Yes, but yet is empty, I’ll create the to-dos and upload the files / images yer.
And then he gave some empty website. Nothing new up there, even now. Aware the way he speaks. He’s been asked to show me something, what ever the progress, for a million times.
By the way, I could send you his profile privately. I don’t want to hurt his reputation in any sort of level, that’s not why I opened this thread. Don’t get me wrong, I do think he’s a disgrace and that everyone should know about him, but I wish him luck finding a brain or/and manners. He will probably won’t last long, because probably no one would like to work with him due to lack of professionalism.
One more thing, Joost, Lets put you as this person. You wasted .. lets say 4 hours of working. But then you get a message from your partner, saying that he needs to see something (legitimately) and if you won’t show something, you might eventually worked for nothing. Wouldn’t you just send him the link? (Ignoring the fact you should talk with him every couple of days to keep him update of what you’ve already done)
Publish his username or not, It’s up to your decision.
