Hi, To be honest I like the minimalistic look you got going there. There isn’t much scope of modifications that can be done to this design.

May be the reviewer is not happy about all the flat icons which might work too but then again it was a soft reject.

May be we can work and make the buttons and icons something differently.

Take a look at this

or something like this may be in black

for your back and next buttons

We have to make something creative not that your design was bad in my opinion is was a good enough minimalistic design.
