Law is law. Period.
That’s not the point, just because you spot the same item on another mp it doesn’t mean the author is involved. I would never risk to damage anybody unless absolutely sure and without giving him/her a chance to explain first.
This once used to be a community where people helped each other but that spirit seems to be long gone nowadays.

candeed saidI didn’t mean you should not contact support about it but quite often the author is unaware of his/her items being sold elsewhere by other people and should be contacted first (not the case here since the OP did this already).
No, Sevenspark… I’m not missing BitFade’s point..and I completely can understand why you and Bitfade think that it’s reasonable.. But I just don’t think that way for super-sensitive case like this. False-alarm / false-positive-prejudice is still safer than any excuses based on fellowship, partnership or friendship, especially if we talk about internet crimes related to intellectual property. Cheers!
If the “disable first, ask later” policy is in place and the author is not involved, by contacting support you will cause financial/reputation damages. In my case, somebody uploaded one of my items to a competitor marketplace and even used my own preview site, if support was notified first, they could have disabled my item just for this reason.

sevenspark saidyeah, thanks, i had missed that part. “I get more money here” would be enough to assume he/she is directly involved.
I totally agree with you, but I believe xtortionist mentioned earlier that he had already contacted the author, at which point he was able to determine that the author was responsible for the listings on both sites.

I’m just gonna let support do their thing and see what the outcome is.
i was unaware of the issue until a fellow author contacted me, then i just needed to tweet the competitor marketplace and the item was gone 2h later.
If the items was yours and you didn’t know, who would you prefer me to contact, you or support ?

Consider that there are people purchasing items and reselling them on competitor marketplaces (which is not allowed ofc)
Happened to me as well recently so make sure the author is the real one and not a fake before reporting to support.

Fully understood and I will do so upon private request for personal reasons. It doesn’t take too long to add me and give 2 minutes if you’re looking for a co-designer.
kickass/cool devs are more like “pic or it didn’t happen” (so i’ve been told)
There are lots of requests like yours in the forums and you’d get more attention by adding some links to your post rather than providing them only if contacted.
