this is tough. Maybe thats why there is now newer yet. I fear for this kind of situation there is no appropriate license developed yet. Let’s assume you are talking about a freemium game where someone needs more items or what ever to keep the gameplay up. It’s a mixture then – music comes with the free part of the game but if you stop buying stuff (in-app purchase) you lose free access to the music. A support ticket could help you a bit further. Just my two cents.
Have a nice weekend, berlinsound
A warm welcome to you guys and have fun here – ah and well going sales!
Yesss! And I would like to provide such a service.
Great Experiment. Very Welcome! Wish you good luck with sales.
Another point of view could be the buyers view though. See what a costumers experience when shopping, browsing, searching, paying etc. Even across marketplaces.
Keep up the good work. Cheers Steven
Wow – this is awesome. Congrats man! Applaus . . .
this is a tough one: 1. Is the music you use in the free part only there to be heard? Or is it part of the paid part too? Hard to tell in freedom-games I guess. 2. I think (my opinion) regular license is no problem because those “Let’s-Play-Videos” are free to reach for end users (if the music is within original scenes from the game). 3. A regular license should be O.K. if used in conjunction with the game as an end product in the main focus of a commercial – If you show original scenes, why not with the original sound? But if you or someone else producing a commercial with music (even already used within the game) from AJ to enhance that very add, than a second license of this song would be appropriate. (applies for extended licenses too – every different end product needs it’s own license).
I short: An extended license could cover all of that, but it seems you would need more than one license in special cases (not for every downloaded copy of the game).
For pdf-version I would contact support anyway – and also for an official statement on your questions, because in my opinion it’s a bit a mixed usage. Hope I could help you. Feel free to ask again if necessary. berlinsound
I had almost four years formal piano lessons (including harmony scales and so on) and as an audio engineer it was training on the job but with a university-of-applied-sciences-diploma in media technology. Most of the compositorial knowledge I got with training training training and of course listening to music a lot. Having patience is also a big plus. Have a nice week!
I’m available – could assist you with electronic music (real synth) or cinematic stuff. Chears.
as PurpleFogSound already stated, a regular license should be fine. One thing to keep in mind though: You are speaking of videos (plural). A license just covers single use of the music purchased (one video). It’s also within the FAQ (“One end product”). So you could maybe buying a package with different songs in the same mood and style.
Enjoy Audiojungle, Kind regards Steven
Hey Luke, Nice you found AJ. Have a lot of fun here. Your portfolio picture is full of impact by the way. Steven
