Is that 500Euros for Design & Development (WordPress I’m guessing?)

Like FinalDestiny said, choose a template then hire a freelancer to help customise it, you won’t get a decent custom build for much less than 5000Euro.

Cheers!

Let me also add the following: Where’s the manual or import files?!

Yep, this has also increased, along with people who are clearly trying to just get through without documentation & then asking really basic support questions which are covered as a bit of ‘My Theme 101’ in the documentation.

An update regarding my bad point above though – it does seem that Ticksy haven’t updated their license image, which is probably causing quite a large number of non-validations, so for this at least, it seems Ticksy is also currently to blame.

Staff & Devs;

I’ve opened this so people can offer feedback on the recent Downloads page UI ‘Improvements’ – I’m hoping this thread can address a few issues rather than just becoming a blame game;

Good – Haven’t had a ‘missing’ stylesheet error reported since the changes came into effect.

Bad – Proper support ticket validations have gone down to about 50% – this is now a rather big issue for me, as I don;t want to provide support to people not properly validating purchases (I use Ticksy tickets with Envato API Validation) – but I also don’t want to have to not provide great support for the current 50% of users not aware of how to get a purchase code.

Perhaps a simple ‘show purchase code’ button would sort out similar issues for plenty of authors?

(Sorry -> Nice concepts by the way! The new item concept is really cool, really good condensing of information :) )

Oh don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t say the word pointless for any major tech investment, even a failed product that’s actually pushing boundaries will pave the way forward for something else (Betamax, HD-DVD) – I’ve no doubt in a few years that Glass will be everywhere, it’s just for now I wonder if the pay off is worth such a lifestyle change? (Especially for non glasses wearers.)

A great example would be bluetooth earpieces, everyone knows they’re easier to use than holding a phone to your face, but they never really took off for anyone other than drivers.

That said, a car HUD sounds pretty sweet :D

I’m all for embracing new technology, but I’ve got to admin that Google Glass is the first major technology idea I’ve seen that I think I’ll have absolutely no use for, it really seems superfluous to even the most tech enabled persons lifestyle – for instance, obviously the functionality can be turned on/off, but if I got a Glass notification for every item comment and so forth I think I’d go crazy! :D

Here’s an example (at least for me) – I hate notifications, running my ticket forums I had email notifications turned on for each new ticket etc. I turned it off after the most stressful 48 hours of my life! :D

Anyway, I’m really excited to see where the Glass goes, but not to get one for myself, I just want to see how far it can be pushed!

The site has been updated to jQuery 1.9.1 which seems to have broken most of the JS / AJAX functions that we all make use of, I’m sure the Envato Devs are on with fixing this, just not as fast as Revaxarts ;)

Just playing devils advocate here;

If we were to get hold of the data, wouldn’t it just be used to make sure that we all hit EXACTLY what buyers are looking for?

For instance, let’s say that the biggest search out there is ‘green corporate’, suddenly now we’re given this data, every author updates their item to have a ‘green’ and a ‘corporate’ tag & now the search for ‘green corporate’ is pointless, because most of the themes now appear.

Personally, I think that if we had this data, authors would just move tags around too much to match current search trends. For instance, if the top search was ‘metro’ or ‘flat metro’, the first thing I would do is move 3 of my items to these tags, even though they’re not 100% true, I’d want the extra exposure. Since I don’t know this data, then there’s no way of me ‘gaming’ the tag system so to speak.

Just a thought :)
