Erik, that’s quite a jump in sales! Congrats!
I just noticed I passed 600 sales today. Slowly growing.
Exactly. To be eligible you need to both have a full length track that is longer than 2 minutes and two shorter edits. A total of 3 versions of the same track. The edits can be to your choosing but often in library music 60 and 30 second edits are included. Probably why they mention those numbers. They don’t need to be on the dot. If they claim not having exact edits to fit those lengths as breaking the rules, I would be surprised.
And no, I don’t think your track with an 1:15 version would be ineligible. As long as you also have a main track that’s longer than 2 minutes and two shorter edits. I’d say that the suggested edits are estimates.
For example: Main song – 2:30 Edit one – 1:15 (the one you mentioned) Edit two – 0:45
But staff should chime in here.
Why on earth were California Sun hard rejected? It has a good commercial sound to it with all the right elements. The mix is a bit narrow and compact. Perhaps pushed a tad to hard? Maybe it’s because of the mastering? The low end could perhaps use a clean up, but nothing big.
Anyways, if it’s hard rejected, not much to do here. Take the tracks else where.
