Looks like AJ team makes all for top authors and nothing to increase sales for “not so popular” but talented other authors. I think list of undervalued items will be more sought.

I think that Audiojungle’s quality requirements is to low. I mean not sound quality (anyway I can find many low sound quality items) but music quality. Overal Audiojungle’s music quality is very low. Something like one item from seven is good, useful music, not just good sound.

I hear this quite regularly, regarding music quality here on AJ.

It’s very important to remember that the most successful music that sells well here is ‘production music’, which could well be considered an entire genre of it’s own – despite potentially exploring a whole variety of different music styles within itself.

Creating successful production music is a craft within a craft. Unlike music made in the name of creativity and for ‘listening’ purposes, successful production music is created with an entirely different purpose in mind and indeed has a very different backbone, which in this case is usability. Alongside superb production, it’s this very point that the most successful authors here work by.

In the vast majority of cases, the music sold on stock sites is to be used as non-obtrusive background music for video. And a payoff for this usability and non-obtrusiveness, is having to sacrifice much of the originality or uniqueness often found in popular listening music. The end result of this type of music could be considered bland, repetitive or unoriginal from those hearing it from a purist, musical point of view.

Most customers looking for background music generally have a pretty limited scope, and possibly taste, when it comes to music. A full five minute, album style masterpiece, full of ‘out-there’ production tricks and direction changes, set in a ‘song’ style format will rarely find it’s footing in most videos, simply because the majority of customer wouldn’t either relate to it or even know what to do with it.

It’s an unfortunate fact in some respects, but that is simply the way it is and as production music composers, we have to respect and work by this.

It is right words! Right in the point. You are good man. Thank you!

What does it take to become a featured author? I’ve been here almost 5 years with 97 items and never a hard rejection. Throw me a bone AJ :)

Nice music in your portfolio.

From the top of my head you can add to genre: Chill-out, Trip-hop, Blues, Funk, Punk, Alternative.

Done!

It might also be a good idea to keep the, in alphabetic order.
Good idea!
