The only thing that really matters is that you upload tons of really good quality music. The rest is almost a waste of time IMO

Hi,

Quick question, I want to use some vocal libraries like this for some of my songs

https://primeloops.com/siren-by-veela.html

Do you know any legal issue about this? It´s allowed to use this kind of libraries for Royalty-free music ?

Regards

Also I think it give the author a little reward, it increases the value of be a consistent author, because if you’re a new author and very few songs you’ll not be able to do those things…only “old” authors will have enough points. Another good thing about this idea is: motivation… it could give us a little opportunity to avoid the frustration to know that a great song/item was unfairly forgotten. What do you think ?
I don’t agree. Why should only old authors have the chance to repost a track? That makes no sense. New authors have to struggle with the same problems.

I don’t say that new authors should not have it, I think new authors are starting and therefore they are more motivated to get it through without extras… What I think is AJ should help that users could choose a file from time to time to push it to top of it’s category to get exposure again. The thing with points, credits or who should get it, isn’t the problem… I think lots of good songs are unfairly lost, and we should have a way to give a song a second chance… Some years ago we have the “bargain basement” that posts old good songs at a very low price… now we have nothing…

Just an idea

This is great idea :-) AJ staff should think about it. But one thing. To me points system (500sales=100points,etc) sounds too complicated. And this will be unfair to new authors. So I guess, it would be a way easier and Fair for everyone to set a certain amount of track “refreshes” in a certain amount of time. Suppose, you`ll be able to push up any of your tracks 7 times in 1 month. A? How do you think?

Yes, points maybe will not the best idea, the thing is to find a way to measure our achievements and turn that into a way to get a new chance to promote our songs/items again… Is to get something useful from our own history here and turn that into something valuable that benefit both authors and buyers… therefore envato….

Thanks for reading

Ok, first sorry about my english, it’s a little complicated idea to explain for me, so I’ll do my best to be as clear as possible:

So many times at Envato but specially on AJ I’ve read posts about authors (me included) complaining about not to be able to keep good songs/items alive enough time here before they be forgotten or ignored due the huge amount of new items each day. I know, you should promote yourself on social networks and do lots of things outside AJ that are true, but you will agree with me that a song/item listed on the first or second page of any category for more time than just a few hours has more chances to at least be heard and hopefully bought, than if it’s on page 200 or 300 one week later you’ve upload it…

So, we can’t ask to shut down new songs to keep us alive more time, it’s unfair of course, but maybe we can get a second chance… This is my idea:

Imagine that as an author we can get a second chance to push up a song/item that we think it was missed by community due any reason (new items flood, bad timing, bad luck, whatever), so we pick a song/item and push up to the top of listings (as if the item were new), so it will be visible again for more time, a second time…it could be great, isn’t ?
Ok, You’ll must be thinking… “how we could do such thing ?” Why Instead of just collecting badges that at the end are useless (Don’t get me wrong, I like em but their not mean much except to show off others) ...Imagine if those badges and other statistical data from our account mean something real for us, and all add up were equal to “points” and those points allows us to “exchange” it for the opportunity to pick a great song from our current portfolio and push it up to the first places of whatever category that song/item lives… again…

So, a practical example: I’m here as “sonicbyte” from more than 4 years, I’m exclusive author, I published 90 songs, I had a featured song, sold more than 500 items, etc, etc… that could sum a number, for instance: 100. To be able to push a song of my portfolio I’ll need let’s say: 50 points, so I have the chance to pick two songs and push them up whenever I want it… that alone I think could have a great amount of impact on my sales…

Thanks
Rodrigo (aka sonicbyte)

I understand your pain,

I would like more to have a way to repost old tracks on your portfolio to the top of the list as if the tracks were new, that way you could give a second chance to a good song that was obliterated by the flood of new items each day.

Maybe as much songs you publish divided by your earnings times the numbers of years as a member here at Envato will give you a number of times you can repost a song/s from your current portfolio…

SONGS / EARNINGS * TIME = Number of Repost chances..

Well, I don’t think that would happen but it could be a nice way to motivate users.

If you’re wrong, it will be very funny… You’re Germans are sooo confident, that could be dangerous.

Actually I’m not that confident. I think we have the better team and we played a much better cup than Argentina who really didn’t shine in any game.

But it wouldn’t be the first time that we are the obvious better team and then lose…

I agree, you’re the best team in the tournament, but if messi has a good day… who knows…
