its really a sad situation, but keep this in mind and move on
Once a bird asked a Bee, after a continuous hardwork, you prepare the honey. But a man steals the honey. Do you not feel sad?
Then the Bee replied: Never… Because a man can only steal my honey, not the art of making honey..!!
Kudos my man.
I will try to explain but it’s little complicated
First option and easy way is to generate and send invoice inside PayPal. In this case when a client open dispute Paypal will know that you receive money from a client for a service (in your case client sent you money via PayPal without any coverage on your side). Chances are bigger to get case solved in your favor
Second option You need to create “Buy Now” button – and customize it to redirect client after the payment to download the file. In this case you legally get the money from the client for your service and when dispute is open paypal will also know what’s going on.
Note: These both options are better than receiving money on your PayPal account without any coverage.
I hope this will help you.
Thank you. These are both very good tips and I will definitely use them in the future. But how does sending an invoice help me against an unauthorized payment dispute? In other words, when the buyer claims that someone else used his money and he didn’t authorize this transaction.
I think the reviewer said everything that needed to be said about this submission
Thanks, dtbaker. However he used a different email than his PayPal account. He really could have used someone elses money. But what protects us authors from this type of cases every now and then if a buyer almost always wins those disputes. It’s PayPal’s job to ensure maximum security on their accounts and I’m being doublecrossed for their mistake.
A client hired me to do a template project for him. After I finished the job I showed him a preview of the project. He approved it and sent my payment through PayPal. I withdrew the money. An hour later I received an email that there’s an open dispute in PayPal with an unauthorized payment and now my balance is a few hundred dollars negative.
The dispute is still open and I went through some threads on PayPal’s forums only to find out that the buyer wins 99% of these unauthorized payment disputes and they are a very common thing even on eBay.
It’s the first time I’m being scammed like this, it feels like I’ve been robbed of my time and effort. I guess the buyer just logged in from another computer for the first time and then filed an unauthorized payment ticket.
Any advices what can I do to win this? Because it seems that it’s all up to PayPal now to investigate the issue (I’m guessing just to check if his ip’s different and never been used to approve payments before) and I don’t like my odds.
I don’t know about that, but you can always ask him to send you a message through your profile page and you’ll receive a link in your email if he ever purchased anything from you.
I like his ‘Paradise Dream’ track. It’s relaxing.
I find disturbing also the lack of positive feedback on the item. I always go back and leave a comment about the positive features of the items I’ve bought. And I think that’s what really the potential buyers need – other buyers’ opinion whether the item is working as it’s suppose to.
As long as the videos on your Exclusive account don’t show up on any other website for sale by you – I don’t see a problem.
