A couple of things:
- Typography is arkward to look at, spacing is often a little weird
- Too much wasted space in each of the banners
- The background is really not helping! Plain white would be better
- The small square banner isn’t consistent with the others, the jagged line looks out of place
Hate to agree, but Germany did deserve to win.
Disallowed goal was a huge mistake, but didn’t really affect the outcome of the game in my opinion – Germany were always going to win.
I’m backing Ghana to go all the way now!
Have to agree with Raincutter, there just isn’t enough to it.
If you developed a series of icons in the same circular style then perhaps I could see it working (ie 16+ icons), but otherwise it is far too simple.
Just seen this file on the homepage, congratulations
Congratulations on a great year.
I’ve been meaning to put more time into having a go at TF files, but was never sure I could justify the time. You’re an inspiring case and I thanks for sharing your stats, definitely helps me to see if it’s viable for me right now. Thanks!
Great news, I’m pleased this has worked out for you.
Don’t be too hard on the admins though, better to take their time and make the right decision than rush it and make the wrong one.
I assume there is a typo there and Zeusbox means 590×300. Notice that his last 4 files have adhered to this new requirement.
Amanda did originally announce that all future files had to be to these dimensions (inline with other marketplaces) to decrease server load and allow for a better hover feature. Anything larger would be soft-rejected from some time around now. It would be a big overhaul but shouldn’t affect sales as we now have the multi-image preview facility.
She then announced it had been delayed because the update queue was screwing up, and the last thing they would want is every author updating their files to meet this new requirement.
Since then the multi-image preview has been pulled because of the lack of watermarks, and then to top it all off Amanda got ill for a week.
...So with broken update queues, no multi-image facility and the site manager off sick – it was hardly a good time to roll out such a huge change!
Weirdly her original announcement seems to have been entirely removed from the forums, which only adds to the confusion! Although you can still see the cached version at google if you’re really interested, fellow detectives!
Zeusbox – you don’t need to keep to those dimensions for now, however you are saving yourself time in the long run as I assume this will eventually be reannounced. Hope it helps!
