I know there have been some api changes, but just wanted to let Envato know their http://analytics.envato.com is bringing up “Failed to authenticate user” when putting in the correct Username and ApiKey. At least for me.

Anyone else?

Really great work! You deserve that feature. And you’re a great community member as well. Glad you have you aboard! Thanks for helping us raise the bar of quality.

Yeah, not gonna lie Scott, this is a silly rule… since it has never been enforced. AND context is everything. “Amazing Technology” is not the same as “Pick This Amazing Song!”

Also, the example used in that article is the word “Beautiful.” How many Beautiful’s are there. Even some of the top songs (i.e. Tim McMorris “A Beautiful Life” and “Life is Beautiful.”)

Might as well get rid of every song named “Motivational,” since we can’t have a song named “This Song is So Motivational.”

“Amazing Technology” should be a find song title.

Problem is congruency among all reviewers. I had 2 troubles with reviewers making bad decisions last week. You guys all need to be on the same page here. We the authors need you to do that.

These tips are great for a fresh AudioJungler like me :D

But… what happened to tips 76–79?

Cheers,

Carsten

Hmmm… Not sure whst happened there, to be honest. Looks like they got deleted. Maybe the tips were too good and gave too much of an advantage so Envato deleted… Conspiracy? ;)

@Cryonics. Great song and congrats! :) Question: did your feature start last week or did you start this week (as in 2 days ago).

Good luck!

Not a bad song.

Why it may have been rejected:
-it just doesn’t move anywhere for me. It stays the same level and doesn’t really develop any further (change up the melodic line of the 2nd verse, add or remove instruments… or something. Anything to keep the listener more engaged).
-As far as songs with vocals are concerned on AudioJungle, a catchy chorus is hugely important. There are no vocals on the chorus.
-Too much auto-tune.
-AudioJungle is primarily a market for background music. Nothing background about this song, unless you provide a version without vocals – but even then, there isn’t much variety instrumentally.
-The biggest critique from me is this: Often, I don’t know the words that you are singing. It is hard to understand. AudioJungle doesn’t usually accept songs where the vocalist has an accent. I can’t tell for sure here, but it sounds like you have an accent. And maybe that is contributing to the clarity of the lyrics.

Hope I’m helpful. Please keep with it and try again. You’re a good producer.

Good luck.

thank you clive davis.

@hottunes, ask the original reviewer to have this pushed up the ladder to his boss to listen.

No need to be rude or sarcastic. I’m no Clive Davis. I would never claim to be. I’m learning as I go, as is this guy. But he was asking for input. I’ve never heard of a reviewer offering additional feedback to a hard rejection. What you are telling him isn’t very helpful. I’m just trying to be helpful as many people were to me when I was staring out.

I agree with you that there is “nothing really glaring or wrong with this track.” Which is why I said, “Why it may have been rejected:” And then gave my list of constructive feedback.

I’m not claiming to know everything. Just giving him some idea of what may be going through the reviewers mind. I also agree, it’s a good song and shouldn’t be scraped. You could definitely sell it elsewhere.

Good luck! :)

Hey guys, this morning I had a sale of the new Broadcast License (10 Million) – which was a $144 sale (of course my commission is less than that). But thanks to the new licensing structure that went live last week, that is the most money I’ve made on 1 song! Of course I’ve had extended license sales of packs before and that has made me more money but I gotta say, I’m very excited about the new license structure! :bigwink:

You’re selling on the wrong market with these tunes. Put together and album of instrumental music and sell it on iTunes or other services like that. AudioJungle is for background music. That is – music that stays in the background. Music here is used in projects to enhance them, not overtake them. Good stock music captures the audiences and draws them in to see the project as a whole, not just the music. Not to say there isn’t a project out there that could use these two tunes or ones like them, but those projects are rare. These songs are too complicated or flashy for a corporate stock audio marketplace like AudioJungle. Tho, AJ 5 or 6 years ago may have taken them. However, it has evolved well and has become the leader. Keep it simple.

Good luck and keep submitting! You’ve got real talent. Hang in there. :)
