I guess the colors will be a bit different and better navigation system.

Some tips

-Making a drop shadow(layer style) does not get the right shadow always.

-Make it look clean,your design might not be clean style but try to organizate them.

-Bevel and emboss does not give gloss effects.

But the problems will continue because the number of items and authors is geting large.

Seriously graphic river needs to choose the authors.
