Embertone did it again. They spoil us with awesome freebies for Kontakt, many of them presented here in this thread already, the most notable being “Intimate Strings LITE”.
Here’s another one:
Harmonette, a rare, antique instrument. It looks like a recorder, but functions and sounds more like a melodica. And it’s super old – our best guess is somewhere between 60-80 years.

TDR VOS SlickEQ is a cool plugin.
I’m glad to see that VOS is getting some plugins for 64 bit and Mac versions too, a big step forward.

Now, here’s some finds:
SoundHack Delay Trio

SoundHack Delay Trio is a group of three plugins derived from the same basic delay algorithm: a hermite interpolated delay line with variable modulation, and a feedback loop with dc blocking and saturation. Pitch shifting is achieved with a dual head crossfading delay (ala Eltro Tempophon/Dennis Gabor/Pierre Schaeffer phonogene) and is decidedly low-?. The saturating feedback also allows them to be great drone and noise generators. The three plugins are +delay (classic delay effects), +pitchdelay, (essentially the same plugin with controls oriented toward pitch shifting), and finally +bubbler (a granular delay in which grains are pulled from the delay line with randomized start time, delay time and pitch shift value).

The big difference with the Olympus Micro Choir is that it has Latin phrases
I bought the Reason Refill version, and the only phrases (mere words actually) I have are “dominum” and “radusya”. Does your version comes with more phrases?
Well, from tweaking them (trimming the start and the end) you get some good sustained “oooh” and “aaah”. You can tweak it to make up some stuff.

I guess that effects that deal with time stretch, granular delay and stuff like that.
So, in this idea, here’s a “scratch” effect (it deals with time stretch):

Scratch it! is a free scratch / tapestop vst plugin for windows, it is specially created for live scratching and tapestop effects.

Just bought this from Soundiron for $20 and I’m really impressed with it. This is about the only decent Choir samples that I’ve found recently that isn’t either 1) really expensive or 2) totally exclusive to Kontakt…which I only have the demo of.
Actually, you might want to get the Papelmedia free choir. It comes in soundfont format, it has some soloist too (not really very good) but the “aah” patch is really good. Just google on “Papelmedia soundfont free” and you’ll be happy about.
Another free, in Kontakt and MuSampler format is my “Vowel Ensemble Free Choir” (google on it too if you use MuLab or Mux, or you have a full Kontakt).

PITCHPROOF – PITCH SHIFTER | HARMONIZER

Pitchproof is an audio plug-in that can shift the pitch of the input. The effect is meant to combine old styles of pitch shifting with the quality you expect from modern plug-ins. The result is this pitch “pedal” simulation that has most of what is great about guitar harmonizer pedals, and still preserves the signal’s integrity.
To mee it seems inspired by DigiTech Whammy pedal.

Some of my best sellers are metal tracks, so, there is a market for that. You just have to think where would fit, a racing game, action video, powerful sport car presentation, martial arts video… etc
The unfortunate truth is that shampoo, cereals and happy stuff like that will have more advertising on TV and really, can you imagine a cereal add with doom metal? maybe with lyrics like “EAT THIIIIIIS !!!! (dj-dj-dj-dj) or you will DIEEEEEE !!!!!!!! DIE !!! DEATH !!!!! ARRRRRAAARRRRRGHHHH”
