I joined 2 years ago, uploaded about 2 tracks per week for a while but now I don’t upload that often anymore (maybe one per month now). I almost only do epic / hybrid trailer music. Tried some “happy motivational” tracks but that’s just not my thing For the last 3 months I had 250 sales per month on avarage.

I could live from it but I choose not to simply because AJ isn’t a very steady income. I’m making quite some bucks right now, but will I still have the same amount of sales next year, or the year after that? I don’t know, so I decided to keep my daytime job next to composing music.

One of my clients told me about this; 2 of my Audiojungle items were used in this #1 US release trailer of “The Guillotines”, an action and adventure / drama about a secret brotherhood of assassins—The Guillotines.

How cool is that!! I’m happy

lmao. What was the track in question? Not the track in the portfolio but the real track? Well I guess they were one in the same…but still.

Did you know this one was a straight copy of a well know piece from a known trailer house, together with 6 other files on that portfolio (the author has deleted them just now)? And I don’t mean “based upon” a well know track but literally a straight copy, just ripped from Youtube or something like that…

PS: I know have the sherrif’s badge for a month

I bet this “author” can’t even write something on his own, otherwise he would not copy something?! So I guess and I am pretty sure the rest of his portfolio is stolen too, or not?

There were 7 items in total that were straight copies. 1 was already taken down by Envato and the author deleted the other 6 himself after receiving a pretty angry e-mail from yours truly, but Envato knows about this too.

It’s not my intention to start a new online-bashing of this author so I’m not gonna post anything more about this. This post was only to inform you guys that stuff like this still happens and people are earning quite a few bucks with it (24 sales in 3 weeks for 1 of the 7 tracks alone)... So keep your eyes (and ears) open!!
