lol Esko :D

@jvirgos – my bad dude. What I meant is that it’s a fantastic card, period. It’s said to outperform the Titan in many occasions while it costs less. Actually I’ve got two of them + a quadro 4000 so 3 in total ( I am just showing-off here). Two bad Ae can’t take advange of my little set up. Maybe in a brighter future Ae will becomes more GPU aware.

I quit trying with CC as well and CS6 for that matter. I am with 5.5 till something radical changes. I can’t believe it’s been 2-3 new versions since 5.5 and not much (that actually matters to like the vast majority of users) actually changed. Cineware for instance (or that new fancy ray-tracing engine ) sounds huge and I was so thrilled about it but then you come to realize it’s no good for a bit more complex projects. At the same time speed and performance does not seeem to change much, go figure..
I disagree. I use the new features all the time. Cineware is brilliant for handing over a project that’s based on Ae and C4D, because whoever you hand it over to can see exactly how the parts integrate. Also great for Videohive. Now Ae users can effectively use C4D projects too.

I guess I never found much use for it, I find it quite limitary. I’d rather do compositing with pre-rendered image sequences than going through the Cineware workflow. It works smoother for me. Have you tried extracting the external compositing tag data from an animated object? Again, it’s probably a workflow thing but with performance still being an issue I find it weird that time is invested in new toys.

Ae does not take advantage of your GPU when rendering. It can only make your life easier in the viewport. Processors, Ram, quick disks and skillfully optimized project – this will help. By the way, your account dose not seem to show you bought any videohive projects at all. You may wanna log in with a legit account .
