Since I couldn’t find any topic related to this, PLEASE STOP WITH THE DAMN BANNERS AND OFFERS, are you guys trying to find money for the winter holidays? What the hell? For the past month we’ve had banners all day long, no surprise our sales are so down

So many messages and feedback and absolutely no official reply whatsoever from Envato. Sad. We exclude here the “business lorem ipsum” some of the staff are posting, we’re tired of hearing BS.

They can’t handle their own support and they ask(sorry, FORCE) us to do it. That’s kind-of funny.

Totally agree! Currently, the trust I have in Envato is ZERO, 0.

We give you 30% of our business and you think you own everything and start dictating stuff to us. No, that’s wrong, WE own OUR WORK, not YOU. You just help us sell, you don’t dictate how we do it and when we do it. Start acting like it.

@collis, what about an opt-out button? A lot of authors have asked about this! Can we have an official response to this, please?
Any response to this one?
Hi there…as part of making support expectations far clearer to buyers on Themeforest and Codecanyon, we don’t think its a good idea to allow opting out.

You don’t think, but we do, we have 70%, you have 30%. You want business, do business, don’t play this stupid game. And I don’t give a damn about the support expectations you might think fit, it’s not your items, it’s not your support, expectations are set BY ME and not BY YOU.

I’m wondering if the guys at Envato are trying from all their power to ruin this marketplace. They’re doing a great job so far.

I don’t care what Envato will say, I will still do support on my OWN TERMS. They can soft-reject and remove my items so I can search something else, along with tens of other elite authors. ;) If that’s what they want.

Just imagine the number of refunds requested because of the lack of support. :D

Tomorrow we might see that our rates dropped from 70% to 50% just because guys at Envato thought it’s cool. Based on the new trend, they do pretty much what they want anyway, basically I’d say 70-80% of top authors do not agree with the latest modifications, yet they don’t care at all.

I’m suggesting to announce every modification and auto-lock the thread. And delete every discussion related to that. It would simplify things a lot.

How about a tab with an Envato Studio big banner? :D That sounds like a more reasonable thing to add.

Guys, you don’t get it. Less support after 6 months? Haha, nice joke. Let me see one of you saying to a customer “Hello, unfortunately we can’t offer any support since you purchased the theme more than 6 months ago” and getting a 1 star right after that.

The support modification is a good idea but very poor implementation. It should have 3 options: “No guaranteed support”, with the same price… “6 months support” with at least $20-30 added to the price, for the usual support we’re offering, but with a 72 hours answer time, or even 48. And premium support. This should be either hourly, one-time fee, I don’t care.

Right now, what’s changed is that we’re forced to offer support, while the price is still the same. This is not ok. If I go to vacation and I don’t want to reply to the tickets one week, it’s my right to do so. Having the same price while being forced now to 6 months support is a ripoff. I am offering support and even on vacation I did, but THIS IS NOT OKAY. Let this on each author individually, don’t force it on all of us.

If you want support to be guaranteed, increase the price to reflect that change, since it will surely make a change in our work behaviour.

I’ve forwarded them on to our product guys and while they won’t be reversing or tweaking the change at this stage (given it’s an experiment and we want to see how it goes first), they’ll definitely take them into consideration for future iterations as well as related projects such as buyer education and sustainable item support.

Yes, they’ll “definitely” take them into consideration. For future iterations. Yeaaah, sure, like all the time, in all the other topics. If future is 2050, we might as well wait for it.

No offense, but this is not enough. Nobody needs it, if you want to use Envato Studio, use our 30% to promote it, don’t throw it on our back while reducing the value of our product. This is unprofessional, you have one successful product and you mess it up in order to grow some other microbusinesses. This is not going to work.

Pissing off the authors will have its limit, someday. Don’t you see that barely 20% of what you do is welcomed here? Why don’t you use your time to actually do something useful and requested by us?

It takes months to do something as small as this button, that doesn’t deliver any quality… and then you keep saying that “We take your feedback very seriously and will definitely consider it for the next review or thing”. No, you don’t care at all about us and this can only become clearer and clearer by each passing month.

Seriously, how do you guys work? 80% of the authors here complain and write feedback and all the Envato Team has to say is that “this is an experiment and we’ll see how it goes?”. Basically you will wait to see if you generate enough revenue in order to keep it. Please, can someone that can actually do/say something useful, from the Envato Team, come and say something? I(and for sure some other authors) are so tired of hearing the same bullsh*t over and over again, without seeing anything happening.

So, since the item is still enabled and doing well on the popular list, I guess this was indeed allowed. Very very plausible that it got 110 sales in one day and then at most 5 a day. Totally legit. By the time you will take any action, it will already benefit from at least half a week of popular list exposure.
